When you're hauling your trailer or your pop-up camper or your travel trailer, any of those you're using your hitch already. So now your bikes and your bike racks and things like that, you're going to have to try to fit inside your trailer and your truck bed or something else because you can't put your bike rack in your hitch.Well, with this on our trailer here, we've got an additional two-inch receiver here on our trailer, so we can fit accessories in it like our bike racks and bring those along with us. So on top here, you can see we've got our two-inch by two-inch receiver that uses a standard 5/8 inch hitch pin and clip. Now what that means is this bike rack is built with a solid steel construction. Everything else around here is reinforced steel, so it's going to be able to hold up well to those long road trips and to those big impacts.Now this bike rack is going to be able to carry up to four bikes to and from your destination. It will have a weight capacity of 37.5 pounds per bike, totalling 150 pounds. Something I do want to give you as a little tip on is that you want to load your heaviest bikes towards the center of it while coming back to the outside with your lighter bikes.We also do have an onboard cable lock with our bike rack. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Jeep Patriot, we'll be doing a review on the Yakama long haul four bike rack, part number Y02476.First, I'd like to start by talking about the physical construction of the bike rack. This bike rack is built a little bit heavier than most, simply because it's built to go on the back of RVs or campers, so there's minimal to no movement on this bike rack.And the next, we'll go on to the zip-strip system that the Yakama has in place. You just simply pull the two tabs, pull up on the zip strip, and it's just as easy to replace.Now here, with the locking cable, you just simply unlock the locking cable, releasing access to all four of your bikes. Take the cable and push it back down into the pillar on the bike rack.Now, to take these off your bike, you start with the top ones. You take these off here, and then you can remove it from the anti-sway cradle on the back side of the upper post on your bike. And you can remove your bike.And I'd like to replace these, before you forget about 'em, they get lost or damaged in your garage or wherever you might be.Now, let's get a few measurements. more

Then along the backside, we're actually gonna have an integrated cable lock that you would pull out from the back, wrap around the bikes in the front, and attach to this point here so your bikes are secure, and this is keyed alike with the hitch lock, which we'll get to a little bit later.The cradles are stationary, but they do have this super cushion material as well as on the zip strips here to help protect your frame once it's being installed, so it doesn't get scratched up. It's gonna grip your bike at three points. SportRack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 GMC Acadia- Video

Today on our 2016 GMC Acadia we're test fitting the SportRack Ridge 5-Bike Rack. It's designed for 2 inch hitches and it is a tilting bike rack. The part number for that is SR2405. As you can see we do already have our bike on our rack. We're going to show you how we secure the bike down to the rack and then also some features of the rack itself. SportRack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota RAV4- Video

Today on our 2015 Toyota RAV4, we're doing a test fit of the SportRack Ridge Hanging Style 5 Bike Rack, designed for 2 inch hitches. The part number for this is SR2405. The first thing we'll do is go over how the bike is strapped down. We've got 2 cradles and then 3 straps, 2 on the frame here and then one is your anti-sway strap in the back. It's going to keep a lot of the movement out of the bike so you won't damage your vehicle or your rack. To release those, we just pull down and lift up, and we save our anti-sway strap for last. Then we can just pull our bike off the rack and set it off to the side. more

SportRack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Dodge Challenger SR2405- Video

Today on our 2015 Dodge Challenger we are doing a test fit on a sport rack ridge tilting 5 bike rack, for 2 inch hitches only, that part number is SR2405. You see that we already have the bike on the vehicle, let's show you a few features. First will be the three straps, we have 2 up top, then we have an anti sway strap on the side. Let's go ahead and take off our bike, pull the two top and up front, one on the side, take off our bike, set this to the side. We always want to remember to replace our straps so they won't get damaged or lost. Now lets take a few measurements. First measurement I like to take, is from the bumper closest to our bike rack, I am looking at approximently about 6 inches. more

Today on our 2015 Chrysler Town and Country, we're doing a test fit on the Swagman 00:00:05 Original 3 Bike Rack. This has been designed for use in 2 inch hitches. Its part number is S64152-2. Not only is this Swagman Original great for your SUVs, your vans, anything like that, but it's also RV and camper approved so this can transition right from our vehicle right over on to one of our other campers or RVs. I really like the setup. It uses two knobs here to hold the top plate down on your bike. We've got your craytons 00:00:39 here which really do a great job. SportRack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Buick Enclave- Video

Today on our 2015 Buick Enclave, we'll be taking a look at the SportRack Ridge five bike hanging style rack, part number SR2405. As you can see we already have a bike mounted up on our rack and our rack mounted on our Enclave. We'll start by taking the bike off and showing you how it attaches to our ridge. We have three straps, two up at the top and they're pretty simple, just pull them off. If you're going to do this, just line up the holes, now there. Our third strap will be on the down tube of the bike, and that's our anti-sway strap which keeps it from moving back and forth and maybe knocking into our other bikes or into the back of our vehicle. Now that we have those undone, we'll go ahead and slide our bike off. It's always a good idea to reattach your straps so that you don't lose them as you're going down the road or putting your rack into storage or whatever you may be doing with it while it's not in use. more

Today on our 2015 Honda CRV, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Sport rack ridge 5 hanging style five back rack, part number SR2405. This bike rack comes with a two inch shank for your two inch receivers only, and as you can see we've already got our bike up here in place so you can see what it's going to look like once we have it fully assembled and in place on the back of our vehicle. It's also going to attach to our receiver, using a anti rattle bolt, to help reduce the sway, rattle, and wobble. As you can see here with me moving it around, it isn't going to have a whole lot of movement, and it's going to be pretty darn still, down there in the bottom of our receiver. Let's go ahead and start off, by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance, is going to be from the front side of the rack, to the back side of the bumper. You can see where that bracket is that comes down to the bottom, down towards the base. more

Today on our 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Sport Rack Ridge 5, hanging style five bike rack, part number SR2405. As you can see, we already have our bike up here in place so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and in place on the back of your vehicle. This bike rack is going to come with a two inch shank for your two inch receiver's only as well as an anti rattle bolt to help secure it and make sure that there's as little sway, rattle and wobble as possible. Let's go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance is going to be down here from the front of the bracket to the back end of the receiver at about three and seven eighths inches. Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle from the rear of the bumper to the back of the cradle arms is about thirty nine inches and our ground clearance is going to be about ten inches. Moving up top, let's talk about how our bike is secured to our rack. We're going to have three straps in total securing each bike to our cradle arms. more

As you can see, we've already got one of our bikes up here in place on that front set of cradles. So, you can see what it's all going to look like once you have it fully assembled and in place on the back of your vehicle. Note that this rack does come with a two-inch shank for your two-inch receivers only. And it's also going to secure using a three-quarter inch anti-rattle bolt. We'll start off by getting a few measurements. The closest distance is going to be down here at the bottom to the backside of the bumper at about one inch. Overall distance from the backside of the bumper to the extent of the cradle arms here is going to be about thirty-six and a half inches. Now, let's go ahead and look at the bottom side for ground clearance. more

Swagman Original 3 Bike Rack Review- Video

Today we'll be taking a look at the Swagman Original Hang Style Original 3 Bike Rack for 2 inch receivers, part number S64152-2. The Swagman Original is going to be great for 3 bikes ranging from sizes of your mountain bikes, road bikes, children's bikes, even your women's bikes or alternative frame bikes. It's going to be great for your cars, trucks, SUV's, even your RV's and trailers. The Swagman Original is going to have that sturdy steel construction and a nice premium powder coat finish to resist a lot of the rust and corrosion that you'll see out on the road. These vinyl cushions are going to be great for clamping on the top of your bike to and the bottom as as well as leaving grooves and space for all your cables on the bottom side. This rack is going to have a few nice features as far as security goes. You're going to have a 5/8 inch hole here on top where you can insert any sort of padlock that you may have. We have one laying around here so let's go ahead and see how that looks. more
